Zhang Jiyuan, male was born in Qinghai in 1962. He is now retired from work and has been a photography ethusiast for decades. He is dedicated to promote the magnificent Tsaidam Basin and make friends with photography lovers from all over the world.

Zhang Jiyuan, Male, Han nationality, Born in 1962 in the Tsaidam Basin located in the famous scenic spot of the Mirror of the Sky in Ulan County! He has been living and working in Tsaidam Basin all his life! he was attracted by the unique natural scenery and biodiversity of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau since childhood. When he started to work, he picked up a camera and used his spare time to record the landscapes, grasses, trees, flora and fauna of Qaidam, as well as the people and life!

He has become a member of Qinghai Photographers Association and China Photographers Association, and a member of China Folklore, Digital and Ecological Photographers Association. He has served two terms as Vice Chairman of the Qinghai Photographers Association, Vice Chairman of the Qinghai Wildlife Photographers Association, and Honorary Chairman of the Delingha City Photographers Association in Haixi Prefecture. He was awarded the honorary title of China Conservationist.

The photo book Wild Tsaidam receives the Best Photobook Prize at the 12th Pingyao International Photography Festival in 2012! More than one hundred works have been selected for various competitions and different awards!

He used to work in the municipal government of Wulan County, Delingha City, Dulan County and Haixi Prefecture. He retired from Haixi Prefecture Political Consultative Conference in 2021!
