Zhang Shuzhou works and lives in Weiyuan Town, Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province. He is now retired. He once taught in a middle school for ten years, worked as a reporter and editor in the local mainstream media for more than 20 years. He was a director of reporters with a deputy senior journalism professional title.

In retirement, he started to teach himself photography and post-production in 2011.He is currently a member of Qinghai Photographers Association, Qinghai Senior Photography Association, Qinghai Cultural Tourism Photography Association, Qinghai Zoological Society Bird Branch, Shandong Tourism Photography Association, China Digital Photographers Association Qinghai Station Chief Moderator/ Webmaster, life member/member of China Folklore Photography Association, member of Global Photographic Union. He is also a contributing photographer to “People’s Photography News”, etc.
