Xu Ping has been engaged in landscape and folklore photography as a part time hobby since 1996. He is currently a member of the China Photographers Association, and holds the GPU-CR3 of the Global Photographic Union, EPSA title of the Photographic Society of America, the AFIAP of the International Federation of Photographic Art, a Fellow of the Federation of Asian Photographers (FAPU), a Master Member of the Association of Photographic Artists of Singapore (APAS), a Master Member of the APVS of Singapore, the Vice Chairman and a Doctorate of Photography of the Sichuan Branch of the Asian “One Belt One Road” Photography Grand Alliance, a member of the China Photographic Copyright Association, and a Fellow of the China Folk Photography Association.
As of August 2024, over 2,200 works have been featured in international and domestic photography exhibitions, newspapers, and magazines, been selected in over 50 photography books, and won 103 gold medals/awards, 48 silver medals/awards, 35 bronze medals/awards, and 194 ribbons/medals for excellence in various competitions. Among these, he has won over 300 awards in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Austria, Greece, Spain, Denmark, Serbia, and India.
