Wang Jitang, born on October 24, 1958; Before retirement, he was a photographer for the Mining Rescue Brigade of Shanxi Fenxi Mining Group.
He graduated from Beijing Correspondence Institute of Photography with a college degree in 2009. He is a Five-Star Member of the International Photography Association, the Chairman of the IPA Jiexiu Branch, a member of Chrysals, a reporter for International Photography Magazine, a member of the China Photographic Copyright Association, the China Artistic Photography Association, the China Digital Photography Association, the China Folk Photography Association, the China Workers’ Photographic Association, the China Coal Mine Photography Association, a contracted photographer of the China Artistic Photography Network, a member of Shangtufang, and a member of the Shanxi Photographers Association.
In 2008, he participated in the Pingyao International Photography Festival and his work “Saving Lives on the Ruins” won the Finalist Award and Excellence Award.
In 2010, he participated in the Pingyao International Photography Festival again, and his work “Rescue at Wangjialing” won the Finalist Award and Excellence Award.
