Tang Shumei, born in Qingdao in November 1959, is now retired from Qingdao University. She became a member of Global Photographic Union in 2017, and is a member of China Women Photographers Association, Qingdao Photographers Association, Qingdao Photographers Association.
She has been engaged in amateur photography since 2009, and her works have been selected by Qingdao Photographic Association and Qingdao major sailing events. In 2017, she won an honorable mention award in Beautiful China competition of Qingdao section.
In Feburary 2018, Qingdao Morning news featured her photos and she became the contributing photographer.
In 2019, three photos selected by 7th Olympic Photo Circuit. Her photos also become a part of the GPU Members Exhibition showcased at Yixian Photo Exhibition in 2019 and 2020.
In 2023, she also participated in GPU Virtual Photo Festival.
In June 2024, photo entitled “Poli Market-Kang Mat 2” won a gold medal in Golden Tiger Photo Circuit 2024 and another photo selected by the competition.
