A date with camels
Oman desert provides an evocative backdrop, with endless rolling dunes and blue skies to the camouflaged camel. The Camel might not seem affectionate but witness a camel wrangler with his animal and it is obvious the bond is deep. Racing camels are highly prized and bred for the track. An exciting sport and an integral part of the country’s culture, the enthusiasm is infectious and the races – a regular event in the Bedouin calendar.
