Xi Jiannan, from Wuxi, Jiangsu, is a member of China Photographers Association, Chinese Society of Photojournalism.
He has been engaged in photography for nearly 50 years with numerous photos featured in various magazines and newspapers. Many of his photos won awards in photo competitions at home and abroad. He also participated to publish 13 books, such as “Old Photos of Wuxi”, “Sino-Japanese Photography Art Exchange Exhibition”, “Jiannan Photo Series”. Jiangnan Evening News has repeatedly introduced thematic full-page introductions, and Wuxi TV Station has conducted special reports four times since 1996. He won awards and accepted in national-level photography exhibitions recent years, such as the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party, the nation’s anti-epidemic fight, poverty alleviation, etc.
He is a photographer with both theoretical knowledge and rich experiences. His photography concept is to carefully observe real life with a historical perspective, and capture colorful moments with a plain technique.
