Fang Changjian, currently works at Zhongzhou Town (Fourth-level researcher). He is Director of Chun’an County Photography Association, and also joined membership of China Photographers Association and Zhejiang Photographers Association.
In 1982, he served in no. 3 Fire Squadron of Ningbo City, and is a self taught photographer. He was engaged in news photography for four years. In 1986, he worked as a trainee photojournalist in the photography department of Ningbo Daily. In October of the same year, he retired from the army and returned to his hometown. In December, he was hired to work at Changling Cultural Station. He has been engaged in publicity department since assumed a leadership position in 2001. During this period, his photo won the Excellence Award of the 14th Zhejiang Film Art Exhibition and the first prize of the 6th Chun’an County Photography Awards. In 2016, the same photo was selected in the 16th China International Photography Art Exhibition, in 2017, “Radiant” was selected in the first Hangzhou Photo Art Exhibition, and in 2018, the work “Haze in Mountain Village” was exhibited in the “Horizon Golden Peak” Cup Rural China National Photography Competition. He joined the Images Copyright Society of China in 2016. In 2019, the photo “Snowy Night of Qiandao Lake” was exhibited in the “Kangmei Qiandao Lake” National Photography Competition. In 2019, “Making Rivers More Beautiful” won the third prize in the entry call “Building Beautiful Rivers and Lakes-Comprehensively Establishing the Collection of Graphic and Text Prizes for River Chiefs” by the Ministry of Water Resources. In 2020, the Photo “Special “Desk”” was selected into a photo book featuring 100 photographers’ works on COVID-19 by China Daily, and another photo was selected as one of China Daily’s 100 photographers on poverty alleviation, and “Joyous people and jumping fish” was selected into the third China Zhejiang (West Lake) International Photography Exhibition and won the VAP Gold Medal at Tricontinental Circuit. In June 2021, he was honored as outstanding individual by Hangzhou Municipal Historical and Cultural City Protection Committee.
