I was born in 1960 in Miercurea Ciuc, the city where I still live. As for the basic profession, I am an electrotechnical engineer, but during my career – in addition to engineering work – I tried my skills in several areas, such as marketing or human resources. I have been retired for a few years and this status has allowed me to devote more time to my main passions: photography and travel.
I discovered photography quite late and for several years I only took photos with a tiny camera as they served only as illustrations for my travel blog posts. Then, after a while, I felt that I could express my experiences and moods much more precisely with the help of images than with the help of words, so more and more emphasis was placed on photography and I began to photograph a little more consciously.
In 2016 I enrolled in a photography course for beginners and bought my first SLR camera, with which I set out to explore the world – or at least the mountains, hills, villages and lakes from my region – through my lens. I have loved nature and nature walks since a young age, but this new point of view, looking for special lights, capturing the small details of nature opened up a whole new dimension to me, interesting things, which I had not noticed so far. I fell in love with photography, especially nature photography and fell in love with everything I could know, learn and experience through it. I am grateful and consider myself especially lucky that through the lens of my camera I can discover new wonders of nature every day.
I would very much like to be able to interpret these moods, feelings and experiences through my photographs in such a way that I can offer and convey beautiful moments and pleasant impressions to those who look at them.
Perhaps I could describe my creed and attachment to nature best with the words of Ansel Adams:
“I believe in beauty. I believe in stones and water, air and soil, people and their future and their fate.”
