I started photographing in the 70s, preferring landscape and portrait, to then take up the profession of ceremonial photographer. In 2008, thanks to some friends who photographed nature photos, I began to notice the wonderful world that surrounds us, being fascinated by the beauty of the fauna that lives right next to home and that I had never carefully observed. So I am passionate about macro photography but above all about the variety of birds that populate the wetlands in various corners of beautiful Tuscany and, in the rare moments left by the profession, I photograph various types of birds documenting the species and behavior of each animal.

Since 2013, after leaving the profession, I have dedicated myself more intensely to photography and successfully participate in several group exhibitions in Italy. In 2014 I was invited to Turkey and took part in the exhibitions organized in 2015 in the rooms of the Arkas Museum as part of the important event “Izmir: a legacy for tomorrow” and the subsequent publication of a catalog book with photos of all authors.
Also in 2015 I was invited to exhibit my photos at the “YI XIAN International Photography Festival” in China, with nearly 5000 photos by 167 authors from all over the world.
In 2014 I began to participate in national and international photographic competitions, receiving flattering acclaim and obtaining the title of AFIAP (Artist of the International Federation of Photography) and subsequently EFIAP.
I have also had significant experiences with photographic reportage during my last trips to Romania, China and Turkey.

For me, nature photography is a means to learn more about what surrounds us but also to learn about new worlds. Photographing something never seen before, observing the behavior of a species that often makes you forget to shoot, this is the real emotion that drives me to get up at dawn and spend many hours waiting for something to arrive and let itself be immortalized.

The beauty is what we grasp as it is passing by.

The desire to discover, the desire to excite, the taste for capturing, is what drives me to photograph and show my photos so that others can also enjoy these emotions.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have captured in the photos is captured forever…

“Photography is an austere and blazing poetry of the real.”
