I started my hobby as a neighborhood photographer in 1987 with a Kodak Ektralite 450 until his father decided to get their first SLR in 1990. It was a Minolta D8000i, and from there today’s presenter started photographic journey. Using self-learning and the support of his father, I set up my first home studio and focused on portrait photography, also documenting social events in his hometown. I did this until he entered college in another country, so in 1996 he stopped shooting photos.
After eleven years I went back to my hobby and was shocked to find I had to leave my field of film photography to find out that the new technology had changed to digital. Honestly, I faced the challenge by utilizing online schools of photography and meeting with a group of people supporting each other with little training but much expertise. Calling on my friends who were eager to work in photography, they all sat down together, and in November of 2013 formed the association of the Gulf Photographer Center called GPC Photo, as well I’ve had jugged many photographic exhibitions local and international.
Currently I’m holding below positions:
- President & Found of Gulf Photographers Center & Chairman of AFAN International Exhibition.
- GPU Saudi Arabia Representative.
- PSA Saudi Arabia Director.
