Gan Yuehua is Vice Chairman of Shijiazhuang Photographers Association, and is a member of member of Hebei Photographers Association, Photographic Society of New York Photography (PSNY), China Photographers Art Association, China Forestry Photographers Association, and Global Photographic Union.

His photography story started in the 1990s when he spent spare time taking photos of people and things around him. He started to take photography seriously and studied the art of photography in depth in 2010. His specialty lies in the field of nature and landscape photography. He also traveled to United States, Singapore, Japan, and Thailand to make better photos. Up to now, multiple of his works won awards in photo competitions at home and abroad:

• “A Bite of Love” won first prize in the second edition of “Caifeng Award” in Hebei Province
• “Teasing” was published in the 305th issue of “Hebei Forestry” magazine
• “Stone City in Rain” was published in the 408th issue of “Hebei Pictorial”
• “Quality Time” won the GAP gold medal in the 5th Olympic Photo Circuit
• “Hanging” won the second prize in Shenzhen International Photography Art Exhibition
• “Heart to Heart” won the gold medal in the second edition of Caifeng Award of Hebei Province
• “Vigilance” won the gold medal in the 59th China International Photography Exhibition
